“ Lowe’s has a history of breaking new ground in our industry, and being the first home improvement retailer to offer an Apple Vision Pro experience in select stores is an exciting step in our omnichannel journey. We believe Apple Vision Pro can enhance in-store kitchen design experiences, empowering our Customers to visualize their dream kitchens.” said Seemantini Godbole, Lowe’s EVP, Chief Digital and Information Officer.

Customers can book a visualization session online with a store associate at select locations, along with some walk-in appointments. The in-store sessions are an expansion of the company’s Lowe’s Style Studio experience that was designed for home users of the Vision Pro.

The app enables people to utilize many designs and design combinations (nearly 80 billion, according to the company) – to see how varying materials, fixtures, and appliances will look. Once the Customer has finalized their kitchen design, they can save the image and then email, text, or airdrop a PDF of the layout to friends, family, and designers to get feedback +  order the materials from Lowe’s.

In addition to Lowe’s expanding their digital capabilities with XR (eXtended Reality) for interior design, a growing number of medical companies are using the Vision Pro to manage medical records, educate patients on what happens during and after a heart attack, etc. As well, there are various examples of the AVP  headsets use on factory floors for training so people can practice with a new tool, object, machine, process, etc. to be better prepared for using or interacting with the physical version IRL (In Real Life).  Further, a new airline announced plans enables passengers the use of the Vision Pro on flights to improve their travel experience.

And with the Vision Pro extensions recently announced,  the potential of the device is exciting, as well as the integration with other technologies – there are additional opportunities and applications to further enable people and businesses to benefit more with XR capabilities.

An example of this is that in addition to the visualization capabilities with The Vision Pro, Lowe’s is expanding their offerings to improve the Customer Experience and increase their appeal for those considering a renovation with the recently unveiled Lowe’s Product Expert – an AI-powered chatbot that offers home improvement product recommendations.
